"Perhaps love is the process of my leading you gently back to yourself." Saint-Exupery

Bridgette Kossor is a singer, a teacher and a connector. Interesting combo, huh? For many years, she has done her work primarily in the music field, entertaining people in a variety of venues: weddings, clubs, corporate functions, places of worship and celebration. In 1999, she began performances in the senior adult community, as a way to sing and make money during the day. This quickly blossomed into something much more purposeful; Bridgette's music program produced a very high level of response and participation and soon there were stories from staff and family about residents doing things they hadn't done in years. There was something much more than entertainment going on here!! People were waking up, moving and experiencing happiness and energy in a way that was not usual. This was the beginning of "Happy to Be Alive" and "The Musical Bridge". As of the beginning of 2012, Bridgette is working on a documentary that will show the deep and meaningful benefits of music, shared in the energetic, loving and connected way that is Bridgette's trademark.

In 2002, Bridgette began writing and recording her music. A lifelong dream was realized when she recorded her first CD in 2003, "I Am Enough", a personal journey of self-discovery through music. Soon to follow was a collaboration with dear music soul mate, Amy Camie, on harp. "Simply Beautiful" came to fruition as a collection of timeless songs that people could listen to, as though they were written just for them. Then came "Let the Love Shine" in late 2005, a compilation of Bridgette's favorite hippie songs, recorded with full orchestration, played by local musicians in St. Louis, MO. The vibe is all about "feeling good". So there is the music path in a nutshell... on to the food.

When 2006 began, Bridgette was in the midst of weight and health issues that she had been trying to resolve for over 20 years. She was over 100lbs. overweight, had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and sleep apnea. At the end of 2006, she was at the end of her rope, not knowing what else to do but start another diet and begin yet another exercise program. Somehow she knew that this was not going to ever work, so for the first time, Bridgette listened inside, to her own guidance. In 2007, she began a personal process of health and self-care. The story that has grown from Bridgette not knowing how to love herself, to taking complete responsibility for her health and her life is nothing short of amazing, considering the struggle that I've been living for over 22 years. In 2010, stressful life situations provided the opportunity to learn even more; she gained some of the weight back (not all of it, which in of itself is a miracle!) and began to deal with the feelings and patterns that have made it difficult to make a long term change. Once Bridgette began to connect her patterns to beliefs about herself that began during childhood, it became easier to let go and her body began to respond. She is learning, every day, how to trust herself and the innate wisdom in her body.

Bridgette began to learn about food; it's energy, which foods are whole, which ones are processed, foods that still have life in them and foods that are just dead. Finding out about our government's practices that allow food companies to falsely advertise their products as "healthy" has fired my passion to help other people learn about food, their own self beliefs and the choices that are theirs to make. Now, she teaches cooking classes and loves seeing people go from never eating veggies or grains to loving them!!

From these experiences, I am offering the process and tools in different kinds of classes, to families, groups, schools, healthcare providers, anyone who is interested in becoming aware of what they eat and think, and how to choose a healthy life, one choice at a time. Makes sense, right? Yet most of America chooses foods and thoughts that support our bodies and minds in sickness, pain and sometimes, death. That's why it's so important to learn what's in your food and begin to make choices for nourishing LIFE inside of you and your body!! If you don't take care of you, who will? And who will teach our children if we aren't living by example?

Your life matters.
Our kids lives matter.
Our planet matters.
Let's feed all of us the best.
We truly deserve the best...
